Homecoming Weekend

Friday, September 19, 2014 thru Sunday, September 21, 2014

Homecoming 2014 promises to be a great time once again.
The fun begins Friday morning, September 19th, with the Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament at Crooked Creek Golf Course.  It will be the traditional 4 person scramble, so make your team or sign up individually at the clubhouse.
Friday also includes all of the traditional festivities including the downtown pep rally, football game, and the latest tradition of tailgating at the Fairgrounds on East Cleveland after the game.  (Be sure to pick up your trash!)
Saturday's activities begin with the Pancake Breakfast, followed by the Parade and free beans and cornbread.

Electra Homecoming

08:00 am - 10:00 pm

Electra All School Reunion begins at 8:00 a.m. on Friday the 19th with registration at the Chamber of Commerce.  A pep rally & a reception for outstanding exes will be held Friday afternoon and the football game will be at 7:30 p.m. against Archer City.
Electra Community Service Club's pancake feed starts at 6:30 a.m. at the Chamber followed by a parade at 10:00 a.m.
There will be arts & craft booths and food vendors in the downtown area.

Scarecrow Festival

Traditionally the Saturday before Halloween is the date for the Scarecrow Festival.  Activities will begin at 5:00 PM on Cleveland and Waggoner Streets.  More information later.

Holiday of Light Parade

The annual lighted Christmas Parade is always the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Santa Claus Comes to Town

10:00 am - 11:00 am

Santa arrives at the Chamber to visit with kids and hand out bags of fruit and candy.  He also draws the winning number for the 6 foot socking that the Chamber furnishes.  Local merchants purchase ads in a coloring book through the Chamber and the profit pays for the stocking. The coloring books are given away with the bags of candy.
